Mbuyamba Engineering was founded by Francis Kalonji Mbuyamba; a mechanical and aerospace engineer with a track record of designing hardware that survives millions of use cycles, passes military-grade drop testing, and ships on time.
Mbuyamba Engineering is a mechanical design practice. We take hardware from the physics up to a manufacturable, durable part, and we're brought in when getting that right matters more than adding another pair of hands.
The practice is led by Francis Kalonji Mbuyamba, a mechanical and aerospace-trained engineer with experience delivering production hardware to demanding durability and quality standards; engineered to ASME Y14.5 and AS9102, tested to standards including MIL-STD-810G, from concept through manufacture.
We focus on mechanical design, design-for-manufacture, and durability rather than claiming the whole stack. That focus is the point: it's where our evidence is, where we reason best, and where a client gets a defensible result instead of a broad promise.
Method over mystique. Every engagement is reasoned from first principles and engineered to recognised standards, with analysis backed by simulation — stress, thermal, and fatigue FEA, and custom analysis in Python where a problem calls for it. We publish our technical thinking openly, so a prospective client can evaluate how we reason before committing. Competence you can check beats competence you're asked to trust.When a program reaches beyond mechanical design, we convene trusted collaborators and direct their contribution to the same standard. Mechanical design stays the core.
